Dr. Devahar Vijayan holds a Ph.D. in Sanskrit Sahitya from Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady. His earlier research focused on architectural practices and material knowledge as reflected in Sanskrit sources and currently associated with the DiPiKA Project—Digitisation and Preservation of Kerala Archives—funded by Arcadia.
His research interests centre on Vāstuvidyā and allied architectural and technical traditions. He is also engaged in manuscriptology, palaeography, and the study of unpublished and regional manuscript traditions. A significant aspect of his work involves examining problems of textual interpretation, commentarial practices, and the validation of technical knowledge preserved in manuscript sources.
