Athira C is a PhD candidate in the Department of Geography, Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady, Kerala. Her doctoral research is on “Spatial Marginalization of Dalits in Urban Spatialities of Kerala”. Her areas of academic interest are human geography, critical urban geography, critical social theory, and ethnography. Athira is conducting field work based research on labour and rice in the wetlands of Cochin and Alappuzha in kerala.
